I like to chase random tangents of thought as far as I can.      I’m not important. This isn’t about me. MedUmanity^® is about creating intelligent, entertaining content of great integrity, and spreading new ideas. Anyone who embraces these notions are welcome to join our circus. This is not my show. I’m just the ringmaster at this moment. Understanding this, who I am is much less important then what I say. There are many podcasts that focus on a person and his or her opinions. This show is different. I want to divorce my biases and personal judgments from the content, and build thought-provoking narratives without individual prejudice. With this in mind, superfluous details about who I am distract from the captivating brain-snacks that I am trying to create.

     Here’s all you need to know: most people call me Jim (my real name). I have a great family (wife, kids, etc.). I’m a doctor (boarded, practicing, and getting my hands dirty). Being a doctor, I tend to talk about medicine (quite a bit, just ask my great family). I trained, live, and work in the United States of America (somewhere between Maine and Hawaii). I speak for myself, and do not represent any company, corporation, or special interest. I woke up one day and got the idea to make a podcast about big concepts that are loosely tangential to medicine, but not technical.

     That’s all you get! If you want to know more about me, you’ll just have to start listening to the show. I promise to speak with sincerity, and ask that you keep an open mind. I’m a real guy. I’m not playing a character, I’m not an advertiisng persona, and this isn’t a marketing campaign. I’m not a corporate icon, there is no media empire, and I don’t speak for an evil cabal. I bought a microphone, had the idea to make some content, and put this all together for the fun of it. Yes, it’s that simple.
